Fixed-wireless internet allows Midwest Technology to provide internet access through radio waves to homes and businesses. Due to the absence of hard lines, we can provide internet access to local and rural areas much more adequately than providers that require customers to have phone or cable services.
How does fixed-wireless internet work? The radio wave signal comes from equipment on towers throughout the area which is picked up by a transmitter that is typically on our customer’s roof. That transmitter receives the signal and sends it to a router inside the home or business where it provides Wi-Fi. As long as a customer’s home or business can pick up the radio wave signal at their particular location, we can provide internet access to anyone miles from one of our towers.
